Sudanese Roomates

I shared a room with Nova and Hulda during the retreat. One of the most beautiful moments was when they realized they had both lived in the same part of Sudan as children. Nova is full Sudanese and has visited Sudan only once since leaving years ago. Hulda is half Swedish, half Sudanese and hasn't been back since she lived there. The diversity where I work astounds me daily.

We invited families to potluck, play and hear about what is going on in the youth group this year. Very few places in Egypt have a yard quite like this one. Thanks for having us Collings family.

Apparently Europe sends its secondhand clothes to Egypt. Marty thought we needed some Euro-Egyptian style. I just needed shirts that don't show sweat stains.

Memorial Church Service

This weekend marks the one year anniversary of the passing of MCC's former senior pastor, Dave Petrescue. Above, interim pastor Larry Boss reads a poem written by Dave at the Thursday night service.

Collision Kick-Off

Collision is the Wednesday night youth program MCC runs for high school kids. We had a hamburger bash for the first one of the semester complete with food, games and a pretty amazing video (that we made and edited ourselves). I'll let you know if it makes it to YouTube.
